US equity markets mixed as bond yields continued to climb and investors digested a slew of corporate earnings releases - Dow dipped -7-points or -0.02% recovering from an earlier decline of -213-points. McDonald’s Corporation dropped over >6.5% in extended trading (after dipping -0.06% in the regular session) after U.S. health authorities said they were investigating an E. coli outbreak possibly linked to the burger chain’s Quarter Pounder. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) said in a statement that 49 cases of E. coli infection had been reported across 10 states. Ten known cases have resulted in hospitalisation and 1 death has been reported. Microsoft Corp rose +2.08% was the leading performer in the 30-stock index. Walmart Inc rose +1.5% after the discount retailing giant announced same-day pharmacy delivery nationwide. The service is currently offered in six states, but will be offered in 49 states by the end of January.
