I’m taking from the trash bin this complete take on an actual composition that I recorded during last September and decided not to use, and instead make a new, different version. The new , “approved” version, shorter, faster, all acoustic, will be released during the winter, so this one became obsolete and has been lying on the trash for a couple of months now.

At the end of the calendar year, people often participate in holidays that result in lots of leftover food. Think about the leftovers — discarded tracks, or MIDI files, or ideas — that result from your music-making process.
Scrounge around on your hard drive and recording equipment, and in your memory, to access that sort of creative leftovers.
Make a new track primarily using those resources.
