I created a multitracked flute (using one of my bamboo flutes from Indonesia) performing a simple arpeggio.
I wanted the arpeggio to represent this universal, frontierless spirit of Wikimedia, having a clear consonance and no dissonance at all, yet not quite totally resolving but leaving the end of the sound quite open for further investigation, because I think founding a piece knowledge is not a "finished" thing but an open path to some more.. I really wanted the consonant arpeggio to have that open resonance after the last note fades.
I recorded a second version using Music Box samples and a third using my Hang/Spacedrum sampled and pitched to adapt to the C major chord (my instrument is on a C minor scale alas)
