Our Lord Jesus Christ freely gives Himself to all, to those of us who want to receive Him and to those of us who don’t. The parable of the shower encourages and reminds us to always prepare the soil of our hearts so that we would receive our Lord, the Word of God readily and bring forth a crop some a hundredfold, some sixty and some thirty.
