Take Home Lessons:
1. Humility and Sacrifice during hardship: When Jacob faced difficult times, such as suffering through a famine and having to pack up his life and family, he stopped over and offered God sacrifices
2. Getting rid of the noise to hear God's voice: Jacob heard God's clear affirmation at every corner in his life. We need to detox from things of the world, so we have space in our hearts and minds to listen and absorb when God speaks to us.
3. Be different to the world: Like God's people were different to the Egyptians and they didn't assimilate, we need to do the same today. Be different, do not conform to the norms of the world.
