The first segment of the event features Gay Talese, Erika Duncan, Daniela Gioseffi, Jaime Manrique, Fran Manushkin, and Isabella Leitner; Maureen Howard acts as moderator. In addition to reading her own poems, Gioseffi also reads the poem "On a Japanese Beach" by Nina Cassian. In the second segment of the event, Grace Paley begins by reading from her own work, and then introduces the next speakers. Jean Marzollo, David Lifson, Armand Schwerner, Ilsa Gilbert, and Helen Duberstein are the featured writers.
