This week we are very proud to welcome KIMONO (Kim Stockblom), from Stockholm, Sweeden.

KIMONO (Kim Stockblom) has in the last 20 years gathered an interesting history in the form of remixes and productions released on labels like, Kombination Research, Drumcode, International Sound Laboratory, Bek Audio and H-Productions. Since 1995 he has promoted countless classic events in Stockholm - besides generally being a strong force in the Swedish Techno scene.
Some of Kim’s main inspiration derives from the early Swedish Techno scene, where fellow artists like Cari Lekebusch, Adam Beyer, Joel Mull and Jesper Dahlback where amongst the fore front. His own sound has been colored by anything from Hip-Hop artists like Onyx and Mobb Deep to James Ruskin, Carl Cox and Eric Prydz. It can best be described by himself. “I always look for that specific drive in a dancefloor track and never really mind any particular genres. But overall i tend to get attracted by drum and percussion based stuff. If i can imagine myself dancing to the track, then it gets a stamp of approval from me!”
