Theodor "In The Flesh" EP WWA 014

We are pleased to release this EP from our friend and musical collaborator, Theodor. After playing in bands as a drummer, he has been producing since 2013 in Toronto, an established electronic scene where underground dance artists like Art Department and Azari & III started their careers. Theodor showed his talent early on with the track “Soft Robot” on our label compilation “Who We Are Vol. 02”. With this release he delivers yet again with the help of WWA's in-house talent.
All three original mixes are well-crafted deep house gems and we are excited to partner two tracks with a remix by a capable “Who We Are” artist.
Up first, the title track “In the Flesh” features a vocal hook delivered by guest collaborator Siemko, dismantled and layered into a mid-tempo soundscape.
The second track “Bathed in Blue Light” is a magic moment on the dance floor: raw percussion, spiky arpeggios and sweet synth sounds culminate when the sun rises after the perfect night out. With his remix, Thomas Leyh transposes that feeling into a deep techno meditation. More than enough drama for the night.
Finally, “Yang” is an hypnotic melody that rolls along inside a darker groove, the synths taking a dramatic arc before breaking the tension — a euphoric affair that will get things moving in a hurry. Steffen Sonnenschein handles the remix the way only he can, subliminal, deep and dense to the end.
