Just as I started my Funk 'Deep Dive' around 2010, I had started working on riffs and even full tracks that would eventually become the full albums: "Four Horses" and "Tales from a Second American Revolution". "Funking Around" was one of those early half finished tracks that I reopened the other night and dropped about 2.5 more hours into work on the project (bringing the total time spent to around 3.5 hours) . Three different Slayer VST guitars (two running through IKMultimedias "Amptitude" amp sim, and the "accent " guitar is running through image-lines "Hardcore" amp sim) interplay with a bass (A Funk 'Modo Bass' modeled bass based on a Rickenbacker solid body bass) and a "Sawer" soft-synth and some very jazz fusion drums to bring this track to life...
