Danish Dream-Rock / Art-Pop band Blaue Blume return with a brand new song - Country!
“We fled the city to write music in a peaceful summerhouse in the countryside.” says singer Jonas Smith. “Bouncing ideas back and forth, trying stuff out, we settled on this more natural sound from an acoustic guitar, combining with clarinet and saxophone, to envelop the vocals.
It gave us this melancholic feeling which we found peaceful, with ample depth and space in which to immerse ourselves. Being out in the country, in the middle of nowhere and far removed from everyone and everything yet together as a band, gave us a common emotional starting point which can be felt in Country.
The song is about figuring out what true home is: peeling off all those layers of emotional noise to find the centre, or core of the self. Daring to be satisfied with who am I, and to ultimately be grateful for that.”
Following on from their second album Bell Of Wool (2019) and the single Lovable (remixed by Trentemøller, 2020), Country might very well be the first new song in a series of more new material.
