On Saturday, December 23rd, I was honored to be the direct opening support for on of my all-time Fave Trance artists, Hungarian DJ/record producer, early pioneer in Trance, and beloved ANJUNA superstar, Levente Márton, better known by his stage name, SUNNY LAX. This was my 4th time opening for Levente, for which I sometimes have to pinch myself to make sure I am not dreaming haha… For this particular show I was asked if I wanted the gig, and I heart-breakingly had to decline the offer because it was the day before Christmas Eve, and I was traveling to Portland, OR, that weekend to spend the Christmas holiday with my family. But thankfully, the promoter checked back one more time after I had time to think about it, so I cut my Portland trip a day short and did the show anyway. I am really glad that I did, because that night was truly a magical experience. First of all, Levente is such a dear, sweet guy and he always remembers me and gives me a big hug when he comes on stage, and he’s just such a laid back, gool dude, and so fun and inspirational for me to watch perform live. And secondly, the crowd that night was just amazing – I was worried that it might be a slow night because of the holiday weekend, but Sunny always brings them in like moths to the flame, and the club was packed with so many cool, happy people, truly in the holiday spirit and Anjunafam vibes were definitely flowing freely!! I had a lot of fun playing this set, and the tracks just seemed to flow together, with some incredible, m spine-tingly new releases, as well as a couple brand new remixes of HUGE classics, like the Ginchy Mix of Reflekt’s “Need To Feel Loved”, and the brand-new Nitrous Oxide remix of Mirco De Govia “Voller Sterne”, which the original is one of my favorite tracks of all-time. Anyway, as usual, I hope that you enjoy the set as much as I loved playing it, and keep your eye our for a new Progressive demo mix that I’ve been teasing for quite a while, as well as my set from the New Years party at Opaline in Portland, which I just returned home from today, such a blast!!
