In this edition of Jazz Euphorium, host Aaron Maiden goes back to his roots - Roots Rock Rebel! - to dig deep in the crates of ska-jazz and jazz-infused reggae. We go down to Sao Paolo, Brazil, to check in with one of the main characters of the ska-jazz genre, and we get deep inside the mind of Victor Rice. Rice either produced or performed on most of the seminal ska-jazz albums that we know today, including the New York Ska-Jazz Ensemble, The Slackers, and the Stubborn All-Stars. This episode takes us back in time, but also looks towards the future as we hear a special new cut from Rice's forthcoming album "Smoke" on Easy Star Records!
