Indiana was recently ranked sixth in the nation by the National Assessment of Educational Progress for reading proficiency. State Reps. Michelle Davis (R-Whiteland) and Jake Teshka (R- North Liberty) share their thoughts on the ranking and how House Republicans are also addressing math proficiency by challenging students who are performing well and catching those falling behind earlier.
