In a way this can be considered as "a Soundcloud-exclusive" track, since it combines both intro and first track of my recent album/EP/demo/whatever, "A Third Placeholder", as one track.
And believe it or not, but the piano intro was performed by an actual cat! She was sitting on my own tiny MIDI keyboard and I just had the idea of recording whatever MIDI input comes from her moving around. It was too noisy with the default synth because the ridiculously long notes, but surprisingly it wasn't that bad after loading a piano sound on it. So why not using it as an intro for a real album then?
Of course the rest of the track was my own composition in my own usual synth metal style and weird stuff happening. There are some elements borrowed from the intro in the later parts as well. The point on this apparently nonsensical thing is to represent the uncertainty of a cat approaching you in the darkness, ready to attack you when you expect it the least. Cats are so cool!
