January 5, 2020 | Daniel 9:1-19 | Austin Kopack
In the light of God’s holiness, we come to recognize our own sinfulness as fallen creatures. In the midst of Israel’s exile, we see Daniel confessing his own sin, the sin of his ancestors, and of his people. Sin is pervasive, corrupting and distorting every aspect of God’s good creation. Our lives are full of thoughts, attitudes, and actions which do not glorify God as the great creator that He is. We can confess our sins without fear of rejection because in Christ all our sins are forgiven and there is no longer any condemnation.
