A sermon given by Jake Blackwood on Sunday, April 24, 2022 on 1 Corinthians 9:1-27. "Freedom to Surrender Our Freedom. Paul has certain rights (namely to collect financial gifts) which he chooses not to exercise for the sake of further serving those whom he is reaching with the Gospel. Paul goes on to say that he operates with no entitlements and indeed becomes all things to all people for the sake of the Gospel. He’s able to do this because he knows that his efforts are not in vain-- he is like a runner running a race or a boxer fighting a real opponent. A prize awaits him which he values far more than anything he is entitled to here on earth."
