A sermon given on December 19, 2021 by Tommy Moore on Psalm 134.
The last of the Psalms of Ascents, we find ourselves in the gates of Jerusalem having made it on the Long Road Home. As we arrive, the central activity now and forever is Worship of God. It is not showy, it is not overly complicated-- it is as simple as this short Psalm. We worship and bless God because he has ultimately and definitively blessed us. And we pray and ask the Lord to bless others-- not materially or physically, but with the greatest blessing that anyone can receive: God’s blessing of eternal life, purchased with the life of His son.
