Today's thoughts: We place too much importance on our emotions. Bad moods are OK if we allow ourselves to sit in them - what happens when we start to use emotions as information? We're able to jump from emotion to emotion without judgement and to notice patterns that cause certain emotions to arise.

What prompted this: Sitting on the Charles river trying to work through a shitty mood.

Workshop it: Next time you're in a bad mood...go to a place where you can be in your head, take 3 deep breaths. Those breaths allow you to look objectively at the emotions. Then, you can reflect on what's caused the bad mood.
