The first charter school I visited a decade ago when I began this journey was a small, experiential learning K-8 school perched at the base of a mountain, had beautiful gardens and an entire city park as the playground for their children.
It never crossed my mind that initial five hour car ride would be painting the picture for my future as a charter school researcher, consultant and coach to hundred of leaders!
