Description

To all those braving the storm, may you take solace in these ancient echoes as you make your way home.

It’s somehow always around this time of year, In the beginning of Samhain (November) that I start to tune back into Irish traditional and contemporary folk music. Accompanying me through many a slow morning breakfast. Usually staring out of the window at the forest, with a nostalgic gaze. Something about the crisp air, darker nights and falling leaves that take me back to my roots.

Following up on the ‘Home is in the Mountains’ Mix 2 years ago.
This is the second mix where I deepen the connection with my Irish heritage. Unearthing the wealth that lies within the treasured and weathered isle I love so well. With a touch of traditional and Celtic influences from the surrounds of Ireland as well.

Slán Abhaile (pronounced: Slawn Ah-wol-ya )in Gaelic Irish literally meaning - Safe Home. To bid farewell to any traveller braving the weather and making their way home.
