Siddhartha
(english version and links etc. below)

English version:
I recorded this set in September 2016. It was my first set with influences of downtempo and world music. As a few of you know I recently started @curiousnomad as a side channel, but I'd like to have both channels combined in this (my main) channel. There will be no changes for you, except more sets and different styles. Everything that's influenced by world music or downtempo can be found under the name "Curious Nomad Stories", with the logo and a typical cover style. Everything that belongs more or less to the typical @rialex style you are used to can be found here as well, but with a different cover style and the @rialex logo on the cover. So nobody "has to" listen to tracks he/she doesn't like ;)

Ok but now let's get to the story that influenced me to record this set:
Siddhartha was born in the kingdom of Kapilvastu in Nepal.
A seer predicted that if Siddhartha stayed inside his palace his whole life, then he would become a great king. The king did not want his son to become a religious leader. He kept Siddhartha in the palace for his whole childhood.

It is said that he got out of the castle against his father's orders. He saw the "Four Passing Sights": an old crippled man, a sick man, a dead man, and a holy man with no home. Siddhartha opposed the proposal and said, "war is not a solution of any problem, We can form a council of some people of both sides and that council can solve the issues."
In the age of 35, he thought there might be a better way than hurting himself. He found a fig tree (now called the Bodhi tree) and started to meditate. He told himself that he would not get up until he had found enlightenment. He meditated under the tree for 49 days. His mind is said to have become pure, and then, six years after he began his path, he said he found Enlightenment, and became the Buddha.
