A mix I created for the Progressive House Classics Group:
Been trying to put this 'journey' together for some time now. In particular, trying to make it sound in such a way as it would evoke memories of classic 'Essential Mixes', early 'Global Underground' CDs and clubbing in an era when proper 'Progressive' music was at its pinnacle: always building, always driving, melodic, emotive and peerless in terms of creativity and especially in the way it brought people together. Anyway, this may not suit everyone's taste, but it's designed with one group of people in mind, and they'll know who they are. While I'm an amateur DJ at best, I hope you get a sense of build and progression throughout, with this being something you can put on at a house party around midnight and play as you would've with an EM back in the day, enjoy:
