This month on www.saturosounds.com radio, the first part of my tribute to the work of producer and electronic music genius, Guy J. I've long been an admirer of his work, first hearing him on Proton Radio in 2006 prior to joining Bedrock. At the time, I remember hunting for as many of his DJ mixes via www.themixingbowl.org that I could find, all of which I still have backed up on a drive for historical record. His back catalog and work ethic is truly incredible, in fact it's hard to believe there are only 3 albums, each of which are sublime. Like many others over the years, I've kept gathering as many of his creations as I can and that will continue for as long as Guy J produces music.
This first exploration into the work of Guy J was a joy, opting to showcase breadth and depth rather than lining up all the heavy hitters. None of this includes his pseudonym, Cornucopia, focusing squarely on Guy J releases. I say 'part 1', for I've used 22 tracks here with 134 (and that's still only a portion of his catalog) remaining which I'll no doubt add to over the coming months! Anyway, I genuinely hope I've done his work justice and I really hope you enjoy this journey, as ever the links to each track are included should you wish to support the artist and purchase them for yourself.
I should add, I follow Guy J on Patreon which is another fantastic way to support the artist. I continue to gather his monthly sound packs, though it will be a long time before I create something people could listen to, in saying that an 'intro' could be doable!!!
