Wisconsin law has blocked people on disability from collecting unemployment insurance since 2013. That is, until a federal judge ruled this summer that the law is discriminatory and violates federal law. But the state’s Department of Workforce Development is still rejecting claims from workers on disability.

Victor Forberger, a Wisconsin-based labor and employment attorney, was part of the team that sued to challenge the law. He gave WORT News Producer Faye Parks the rundown today – and shared his take on President Trump’s attempts to reshape independent labor commissions on the national level.
