According to the CDC, Black women are three times more likely to die as a result of pregnancy-related health issues than white women. A UW-Madison center aimed at improving maternal and child health in Wisconsin is looking to expand one of their programs. This expansion will provide more personalized care to Black mothers postpartum, addressing the racial disparity in maternal health outcomes.
