Description

Today, on Juneteenth, the Center for Black Excellence and Culture officially broke ground.

With a grand opening slated for late 2025, the center is the brainchild of Reverend Dr. Alex Gee and Madison’s Black community. Dr. Gee’s vision, years in the making, is to cultivate Black excellence in business, leadership, education, the arts, and more.

Despite the stifling heat this afternoon, about two hundred community members gathered at the center’s south side location to celebrate.
