Last month, Madison’s Metro Transit went through a major overhaul that, among other things, removed buses from the bottom of State Street.
With the change now officially in effect, city officials say that now is the perfect time to test out a concept that has been discussed for decades - turning parts of State Street into a pedestrian mall.
