The Madison Rafah Sister City Project has worked on projects with the Middle East Children’s Alliance or MECA for many years.
World View listeners have donated to these projects for water, food, education, children’s mental health programs and more.
The beauty of MECA’s work in Gaza is that MECA staff were already in place in Gaza and continue to work use their local connections to provide aid to children and families there even when Israel closes off supplies and help from outside.
We wanted to know more about this extraordinary organization and we got information and so much more when Executive Director of MECA, Zeiad Abbas Shamrouch talked with Gil Halsted on World View.
