After over a decade of having what many political experts say are the most gerrymandered maps in the nation, Wisconsin has new ones - signed into law today by Governor Evers.
Their hand forced by an exigent decision from the state Supreme Court, state Republican lawmakers signed off on the new maps last week, sending the proposal to the governor.
After that vote, one Republican state senator characterized Republicans as not just stuck between a rock and a hard place… but “it’s a matter of choosing to be stabbed, shot, poisoned or led to the guillotine.”
So how will these new maps impact district lines in the Madison area?
