More than 1,000 Tibetans gathered in Madison last week to celebrate the Dalai Lama’s 90th birthday. Over the course of four days, they played soccer and cricket, hosted cultural performances, and attended a grand ceremony at a local Buddhist monastery.
Several local politicians also weighed in with their support of the Dalai Lama and the local Tibetan community.
