The thunderstorm and its aftermath happened to have occurred on Wastewater Professionals Appreciation Day-as proclaimed by Gov. Evers.
The Appreciation Day could not have been more timely, as wastewater workers worked overtime to keep pumping stations operating through and after the storm.
