The city of Madison is adding more housing units to the market, but not enough to meet demand and lower prices.
That’s according to the latest data update from the city’s Neighborhood Indicators Project, a collaborative project with UW-Madison’s Applied Population Lab. The free, online tool tracks metrics like transportation access, health, and public safety at the neighborhood level.
Sitting down with WORT News Producer Faye Parks, city planner Urvashi Martin explains how city staff and community organizations are using this tool to identify areas of need throughout Madison.
