Democratic lawmakers have announced a package of bills to improve conditions for people incarcerated in Wisconsin's jails and prisons.
The seventeen proposals seek to improve conditions for people who are locked up and for their families.
The bills are wide-ranging, from better labor rights to personal hygiene, access to visitors and programming, communications, and oversight and transparency.
