This week on Stuff Yer Face, food feature producer Emily Tucker talks with Heidi and Julian Zepeda, co-owners of Tortilleria Zepeda in Lone Rock, Wisconsin.
This husband and wife tortilla team met in Julian's home of Puertra Vallarta, Mexico, and relocated closer to Heidi's home of Southwestern, Wisconsin. Finding themselves surrounded by corn fields and a lack of the type of tortillas Julian craved, they dove into making their own using traditional processes perfected by Mesoamericans thousands of years ago.
