This Wednesday, October 15th, is the anniversary of the death of Luke J. Weathers Jr. in 2011. Weathers was a Tuskegee Airman, part of the famed African-American fighter pilots during World War II. He was also the first African American air traffic controller in Memphis and a civil rights activist. Feature contributor Harry Richardson has the story.
