AI data centers have been popping up across the nation, and Wisconsin is no exception. Just north of Madison, QTS Data Centers has proposed a 12 billion dollar project to build one of the largest centers in the midwest. Critics have raised concerns not only about energy usage and climate impacts, but also the lack of transparency from the government agencies that approve these projects.
