I found it! I finally found it! after moving house. The cassette tape, yes cassette tape (You'll have to explain what that is to the millennials) that changed my life. I had just returned from living in America to Belfast 98/99, to start my 1st Degree. Having experienced the diversity, cultures, food and of course Music in New York, Manhattan, Atlantic City, New Jersey etc. I eventually returned to my home city and was told about this secret club called Bar Zu*. I couldn't believe my eyes when I went into it, it was like stepping into a fancy club in Manhattan, Soho London or San Francisco.

It was empty, the music that was being played didn't suit the club, so being a cocky confident young man, I made a mix tape on vinyl with my 1210's, and gave it to the owner David Heaney (03/04), telling him, I'll change this place. He was reluctant at the start but this mix changed our lives forever, Giving me my 1st residency and the opportunity to play with some of the best and most famous Dj's in the UK and the world 😉 Joanne Hill (Joe's Garage, Kelly's, Bar Zu* monthly resident) Chris Cargo (Renaissance/Network Belfast), Gleave Dobbin (Circus Circus, Kilwaughter House etc etc) Glen Molloy (Kellys) Paul P Moran (Point Inn, Fusion) Allister Whitehead (Hacienda, Fantazia etc), Paul Jackson (Ministry of Sound) Danny Rampling (Shoom, Ibiza Legend BBC Radio 1) Lottie (The Tunnel, BBC Radio 1), Stephen Porter (Jika Jika) Robbie Nelson (Circus Circus, Met Arena), Graham Park (Hacienda). The list goes on and on.

David had a vision, the design, decor, sound system, DJ Booth etc was spectacular. I was the missing link, my style of music, his club became our bar Zu*. Destiny or what ever you want to call it, changed our lives forever! The rest is history as they say........
