Description

Bud Abbott and Lou Costello used their vaudevillian slapstick and one-liner comedy routine on radio as guests or with their own show for 9 years. Their classic routine of "Who's on FIrst?" has endeared them until today. They were hugely popular with their films during the 1940's and that carried over to television. Their humor on radio was as it was on the vaudeville stage, and listeners love it. This show features Mel Blanc, British film star Merle Oberon, singer Connie Haines and was aired on Nov. 19, 1942 from a U.S. Airbase in Long Beach, CA. They raised huge amounts of money through the War Bond program during WW II.
