IN a skit broadcast on Dec 22, 1938, Fanny Brice portrays her lovable character "Baby Snooks" and Hanley Stafford plays her father "Lancelot Higgins". In this short skit, Daddy Higgins is taking Snooks to visit Santa to ask him for a Christmas present... but Snooks and Daddy do not agree on what she should ask for or "Why?" Funny 81 years since it was first broadcast. Incidentally, Fanny Brice was 47 years old playing the role of a 10 year old girl... that was the amazing thing about radio... all you needed was a voice and some sound effects and of course your imagination to make a show fantastic!
