Paladin 'Gun For Hire' lived in and worked out of the Carleton Hotel, in 1875 San Francisco. During many episodes including the one on this track, we hear Paladin in conversation with the Carleton Hotel's Chinese bell hop, 'Hey-Boy' (starring Ben Wright).
Have Gun Will Travel was one of those very rare programs which got its START as a top rated television show runningon CBS from 1957-63 and starring Richard Boone as Paladin. Successfully moving to a radio broadcast from television was quit an achievement and speaks volumes for the way John Dehner portrayed the radio Paladin compared to Boone's interpretation... they were two very different characters.
