Arch Oboler was the writer and director of the "Lights Out" series beginning in 1936, having taken over from Wyllis Cooper who began the series in 1933. The show was aired late in the evening, closer to the "witching hour" and listeners were warned if they were timid, best not to listen to the show! Though by today's standards, these stories might not scare anyone... imagine if you will sitting in a dark room letting your imagination run wild with the sounds, voices, music... and thinking of it in that context, these stories still pack some punch... particularly this one. I believe Peter Lorre was in this. There are no credits given but it sure does sound like his voice. He would have been about 32 at the time this was aired. Enjoy "Nobody Died" and if you think it is a neat story, please give us a LIKE ... and thank you. www.facebook.com/heirloomradio Also can be heard on Itunes or Google Play Music... search for "Heirloom Radio" w/o quotations.
