Officially known as "The Raleigh Cigarette Program Starring Red Skelton" .. this show went on the air on Oct. 7, 1941. The bandleader was Ozzie Nelson and his wife, Harriet, who worked under her maiden name of Hilliard, was the show's vocalist and also worked with Ozzie and Red with many of Sketon's skits. Such characters as Clem Kadiddlehopper and the "Mean WIddle Kid or Junior" were introduced during the show which aired until June 6, 1944... the day before Red was drafted into the army. Without it's star, the program was discontinued and the Nelsons took the opportunity to begin their own radio show called "The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet." The program on this track is from St. Patrick's day 1943 and features skits and songs related to St. Patrick's Day. Thanks for Listening.
