Tracy Harris and Herb Butterfield (Very talented radio stars) star in the radio adaptation of Mary Shelley's "Frankenstein". One of many radio adaptations of her Gothic novel that was written in 1818. The story had two titles... Frankenstein, of the Modern Prometheus... and it was first published by an anonymous author. There have been many movie adaptations of the novel... the photo is Boris Karloff as The Monster from a Universal Pictures film of 1931. He was 43 at the time and this role started his career which would continue until his death in 1969. He played the role of Frankenstein two more times in the Bride of Frankenstein (1932) and Son of Frankenstein (1939).
