“Light Shine” by Tim Reisert
Wherever you think of
the wisp of the willow
and the trail of the wind
toward the distant light shine,
feel your way around
the trunk of the maple,
then ease into the shadow,
the wing movement of a luna,
the now-tired swell of locusts,
to then rest in the pillow moss and
dry leaves and hard root.
