I met Marcus in early 2019 and he changed my life. It was my first season at Camelback Ventures, and I was drinking from a fire hose while l learned my new role. Marcus was one of the founders we invested in during that cycle. His revolution resonated with me because he was building a school for our most precious demographic, Black boys. Little did I know, I was changing his life too. With a negative balance in his checking account and only faith in his hand, the call one day in January to let him know he had been accepted into the fellowship proved that prayer, faith, and work can do wonders. Marcus's leadership during the fellowship and our most chaotic periods moved me, gave me resolve, and pushed all of us forward.
