"Funeral Death March", recorded for http://JFRocks.com 's annual "JFRocks Halloween" guitar track, tab, and often lesson update. This track is taken from the classic "Funeral March". The main chorus riff of the track is only slightly embellished from the original track, but the rest of the song is pretty much a dark evil free for all utilizing embellished pieces of the original track. Typically when I embellish I do it through chord substitutions and what I call "replaced riffing". This track is also cut down the middle with a quirky and somewhat off the wall improvised guitar solo. The first half of the solo is over a wicked Drop D guitar riff, and the second half is essencially over the intro/verse arpeggio chord change riff.
All that aside, as always, CRANK IT UP!!. This track is perfect to crank at your Halloween party, or just to scare the crap out of some kids.
