"Led Tangelo" a.k.a. (Tangelo) is the 2nd and final Led Zeppelin influenced piece that I did for my friend Rachel's Documentary film. As with "Shred Zeppelin" Rachel was kind enough to let me/us at JFRocks.com upload this song for you guys to check out and have for yourselves.
This song is more of an acoustic song than "Shred Zeppelin", it's got a mix of 6 and 12 string guitars, with a really sweet haunting "Tangerine" style guitar solo right in the middle of it all.
The song's title "Tangelo" comes from its heavy Led Zeppelin III "Tangerine" and "That's the way" influences. A Tangelo is a hybrid of a Grapefruit and a Tangerine. We thought of this song as more of a Grapefruit that was influenced by Tangerine, so of course we named it "Tangelo".
Sit back and enjoy this one. It's a laid back mood piece that should hurl you back in time to the early 70's without too much trouble. There's even a little pinch of Dark Side of the Moon (Floyd) influence in here as well.
