The three preparatory lessons are:
1. Be different. John wrote his Gospel in his unique way. In the same way, follow your mentors but you need to be you. God has given you a unique gift that only you can give the world.
2. Make disciples. Your greatest legacy is not your achievements but the achievements of your disciples. So love people and inspire each of them to live a great life.
3. Knowing God isn’t about comprehension but connection; not about intelligence but intimacy.
