We would say "Happy Friday," but after the events in Annapolis yesterday it is anything but. We open the show by thinking of all of the victims, most notably John McNamara-who Glenn knew from his time on the Maryland beat.
Glenn went to the Orioles game yesterday. There's not much to say about that, but he did want to know-since the Orioles are garbage, will you end up watching other baseball games this year? Like Red Sox/Yankees this weekend? Late in Hour 1 we had our weekly visit with our college sports guru Patrick Stevens (@D1scourse), who talked to us about Maryland hiring Damon Evans, shared his own memories of John McNamara and can he name all eight teams that Dan Haren has pitched for? At the top of Hour 2, Ravens 1st round pick/former South Carolina TE Hayden Hurst joined us to talk about what he's learned so far about the Baltimore offense, why he's so willing to discuss the depression/anxiety issues he dealt with as a baseball player, his friendship with Orioles prospect D.J. Stewart and more. After that we dove into some of the LeBron James rumors circulating then we previewed the Orioles/Angels series with former MLB pitcher/Angels color analyst Mark Gubicza. Would they want to trade for Manny Machado with Zack Cozart hurt?
