We had a great Thursday on GCR before Opening Day-and it wasn't JUST baseball. We did talk a good bit about the concept of Chris Davis leading off (crazy? or CRAZY LIKE A FOX?). Early in the first hour, Alabama CB Anthony Averett joined us-he's one of the top corners in the Draft, played alongside Marlon Humphrey with the Tide and just so happens to be the nephew of former Ravens OT Bryant McKinnie. He had a lot to tell us. Late in Hour 1 we checked in with Patrick Stevens (@D1scourse) to discuss players leaving at Maryland, UMBC keeping their coach, a new coach at Loyola and Johns Hopkins lacrosse's strange (but quality) season. And in Hour 2, so much baseball. Rick Dempsey joined us to discuss why you don't have to be Rick Dempsey to be optimistic about the Birds and PressBox's Rich Dubroff on expectations for the season.
